FAQ:
Who is this class good for? This class is great for municipal and agency staff who are seeking to leverage spatial data and mapping but do not have coding expertise. It is also perfect for citizens who are looking for easy ways to use open data to learn more about their community, advocate for change, and/or become a civic innovator.
I am not sure this is right for me? We get it! Contact us and we’ll discuss it with you.
How is the course delivery structured? The course is intended to be a mix of mini-lectures, instructor-led demos and hands-on activities. The final session is intended, entirely, as a hands-on opportunity to use skills developed in the course.
Can I attend some of the sessions but not all? For those making a donation using the schedule above, it’s entirely up to you. For others, we will accommodate requests based on availability. Only those attending all sessions will receive a certificate of completion.
What is the facilitator-to-attendee ratio? We aim to keep this below 8-to-1 to ensure 1-on-1 help is available.
