The Smart Cville Board of Directors is thrilled to announce the hiring of Abigail Cox as Program Associate.
Abigail Cox is a reference librarian at the Jefferson-Madison Regional Library (JMRL) in downtown Charlottesville. At JMRL she provides reference services and technology training on a daily basis. She also develops and facilitates free programs that are open to all members of the community in order to promote lifelong learning and reading. Her work has a strong focus on increasing access and on promoting digital equity and inclusion. Abigail is a City of Charlottesville resident.
With an increasingly growing workload, Abigail will have an immediate impact on our core mission and values. In her position she will work directly with our Program Coordinator, Alpha Diallo, to support our programming, marketing, and planning needs.
“We are honored to have Abigail joining us as a Program Associate. She is the perfect candidate for this role and will help to support crucial and exciting new adventures we have to come this year. We value her work within the community and her willingness to innovate and learn new skills. I am confident she will be a central player in our growth moving forward,” said Lucas Ames, founder of Smart Cville.
Abigail has already hit the ground running with current programming. If you’d like to get in touch with Abigail she can be reached via email at abigail – at – smartcville.com
