Thank you for reading our inaugural Tech in the Neighborhood Survey. At Smart Cville, we focus on leveraging technology to solve public problems. We’re obsessively interested in how both governments and citizens use technology to make cities better. This fall, to learn more about how technology is being used in the City of Charlottesville, we decided to tap the collective knowledge of neighborhood association leadership. We asked the leadership of every neighborhood association to let us know: what problems do you face, who is helping you solve these problems, and how well is technology is being leveraged.
I am tremendously grateful to this year’s survey respondents. Some really important trends have emerged from the surveys we collected. Moreover, I am hopeful that from this modest inaugural survey, this initiative can grow into something more comprehensive and scientific.
