From April to October 2016 the City of Charlottesville is sponsoring year two of its City Market composting program. The program collects compostable material from anyone willing to drop off bags at the composting station. This is a free service for free and all participants get the bags necessary to collect the compost. If you are new to composting, please be sure to review
With help from the Department of Public Works, we’re again sharing the data from each compost collection. Feel free to take a look at the 2015 compost data. The program is part of the Green City efforts in Charlottesville.
We thank the city for making this data transparent and open, allowing us to share it with you.
